Technical Skills Area
The Technical Skills Area is the largest training facility in the Centre, offering provision for skills learning in several different environments.
- Conventional / CNC Machining (Turning, Milling, Grinding)
- Fitting, Fabrication, Welding (TIG & MIG), Pneumatics & Hydraulics
- Electrical, Electronics, PLCs, Skills Assessments
- Health & Safety, Risk Assessment, Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels
- Lecture Room and IT Facilities

- Each skills area is equipped to accommodate up to 14 trainees

- From June - August annually
CAD Suite
The Computer Aided Design (CAD) Suite is equipped with 10 workstations for learning across a variety of software packages including the Microsoft range (e.g. Office, Project etc) and ECDL (European Computer Driving License).
EKGTA is an Autodesk Approved Training Centre (ATC) and has licensed instructors for a wide range of products. Please refer to the EKGTA Training course calendar for more information on courses available for delivery by EKGTA.

Ardlui IT Suite
The Ardlui IT Suite is a medium sided room. It is ideal for presentations and IT training events.
Situated in our new training and office complex, this room is equipped with a state of the art "smartboard" audio/visual system. Laptops can be made available at additional cost.

Electrical Training Room
The Electrical Training room is a medium sized modern area. It is ideal for presentations and practical training events.
Situated in our new training and office complex, this room is equipped with a state of the art "smartboard" audio/visual system and has it's own air conditioning unit.

Arisaig Training Suite
We have created a truly multi-functional training space in the Arisaig Suite, with the capability to conduct practical Electrical & Mechanical training, and classroom training. This space can also be utilised as an exam room and assessment centre.
