What the Qualification Covers
The qualification consists of two mandatory units:

Understanding the principles and practices of assessment
-
Assess occupational competence in the work environment
Together, these units develop both the knowledge and practical competence required to assess learners in their normal place of work, in line with national occupational standards.

Please note that this course may be cancelled and rescheduled if no uptake is received up to 14 days prior to the course start date.
A cancellation fee of 30% will be charged for cancellations within 24 hours of the course date. Failure to attend without notice will result in a full charge.

Option 1 – £1,495
Includes:

Initial 2 days classroom-based training

Awarding body registration and certification

A further 2 days attendance for assessment gathering and portfolio building
This option is available to qualified engineers only.
Assessment Requirements
To achieve the qualification, delegates must:

Carry out workplace assessments of learners
-
Demonstrate competence using approved assessment methods
-
Compile and submit a portfolio of evidence
-
Meet all EAL evidence, authenticity, and validity requirements
Assessment evidence must be generated from real workplace activity.

EKGTA can provide additional portfolio development support, offering guidance and assistance prior to submission. Costs for this service are agreed in advance with the delegate and/or employer.
Option 2 – £800 plus assessment visits
Includes:
Initial 2 days classroom-based training
Additional requirements:
2–4 workplace assessment visits, charged at £160 per visit
