What the Qualification Covers

This qualification focuses on the internal verification / IQA of workplace assessment against national occupational standards. It develops both knowledge and practical competence in monitoring, maintaining, and improving assessment quality.

Please note that this course may be cancelled and rescheduled if no uptake is received up to 14 days prior to the course start date.

A cancellation fee of 30% will be charged for cancellations within 24 hours of the course date. Failure to attend without notice will result in a full charge.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this qualification, delegates will be able to:

  • Explain the principles and purpose of internal quality assurance

  • Plan and carry out internal quality assurance activities

  • Maintain and improve internal quality assurance systems

Fees & Delivery Model

The course fee includes:

  • One day classroom-based training at EKGTA

  • All course materials

  • Awarding body registration and certification

  • Up to four assessment and portfolio-building visits

Additional visits, where required, are charged at £160 per visit.

Assessment Requirements

To achieve the qualification, delegates must:

  • Carry out a series of internal quality assurance activities in the workplace

  • Internally verify assessment decisions against national vocational standards

  • Monitor assessors and sampling activity

  • Compile and submit a portfolio of workplace evidence

Evidence must be generated through real IQA activity. Simulated evidence is not permitted.
