Objectives

4 Day Basic Electrical Skills Course
The following topics were covered on this course:
1. Be aware of relevant Health & Safety Practice
2. Understand Ohm’s Law
3. Understand Single-Phase and 3 Phase Electrical Distribution Systems
4. Interpret Electrical Diagrams
5. Wire up Lighting, Sockets and Control Circuits
6. Use Electrical Test Instruments:
- Digital Multimeter
- Insulation Tester
- Clamp on Anmeter
7. Fault Find on Simple Circuits
8. Apply Safe Working Practices (including Electricity at Work Regulations)
9. Enter Simple Programs into a PLC (Optional)

Requirements

No previous electrical experience is necessary

ALSO NOTE THAT IN THE EVENT OF ANY DELEGATES NOT TURNING UP ON THE DAY, UNLESS WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED PRIOR TO THIS, YOU MAY BE CHARGED 30% OF THE COURSE FEES FOR COSTS INCURRED
