Objectives

1. AC Motor.(Induction)
2. Theory of Direct On Line starting and resistance measurements testing for functionality and safety.
3. Assemble, wire and fully test DOL Starting Circuit.
4. Motor Control Systems Forward and Reverse.
5. Assemble, wire and fully test Forward and Reverse Starting Circuit.
6. Theory of Star Delta starting and resistance measurements on motors connected to Star and Delta.
7. Assemble, wire and fully test Star Delta Starting Circuit.
8. Explanation of Star Delta Forward and Reverse.
9. Further work involving interpretation of electrical drawings, use of hand tools and test equipment and procedures.
10. Fault Finding Techniques.
11. Safe isolation , Lockout and testing for dead of 3 Phase systems.

Requirements

WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE.
We recommend that Delegates should have a good knowledge of electrical safety regulations. Also single phase testing, circuit construction and understanding of electrical principals. If they do not have this experience, we recommend that they undertake electrical maintenance awareness Part 1, as this covers the electrical regulations, which are not covered in part 2.
