The 2377-77 is intended for practising electricians and those managing inspection and testing systems. It is not an introductory PAT course for non-electrical staff.

Please note that this course may be cancelled and rescheduled if no uptake is received up to 14 days prior to the course start date.
A cancellation fee of 30% will be charged for cancellations within 24 hours of the course date. Failure to attend without notice will result in a full charge.
For candidates who have taken this course with EKGTA, the cost of a re-sit is £80 per test.

What the Course Covers
This course provides both theoretical understanding and practical competence in accordance with statutory and non-statutory guidance.
Content includes:

Legal responsibilities for maintaining electrical equipment

Construction and classification of electrical equipment

Determining inspection and testing frequencies

Visual inspection and combined inspection and testing

Selection and use of appropriate test instruments

Inspection and testing of Class I and Class II equipment

Identification of unsafe or defective equipment

Recording results to meet legal and organisational requirements

Implementing and maintaining an ongoing inspection and testing programme
Assessment & Examination
Assessment consists of two mandatory components, both of which must be passed:

Practical Assessment

Completion of required inspection and test documentation

Conducted during the course
Exams are normally arranged for the following week and start times are available between 08:30 and 13:00.
Candidates should allow up to three hours for the examination process.
